Forget lines and clusters — only the count matters. Eight or more of a symbol anywhere across the 35 cells burst together, in three tiers: 8–10, 11–13 and 14+. The displayed paytable is the win function, exactly.

Bombs only ever drop after symbols burst — never onto a dead board. Values run ×2 through ×100, they stack on a cell, and inside DEFCON every bomb leaves a permanent marker: the feature multiplier is one plus every bomb dropped so far, so it can only grow.

Every cell that bursts ticks its own column's meter, and those meters never reset for the rest of the feature. Ten ticks arm a column — and the moment a bomb lands in an armed column, the entire column turns wild.

Three, four or five sirens open 8, 11 or 14 free spins — and the entry board's own bursts already resolve inside the feature, charging meters and paying at the feature multiplier. More sirens during the round add five spins, up to thirty.
